Do you often find yourself with overripe bananas? I do, all the time. We eat so many bananas that I tend to buy huge amounts. And because you can’t buy perfect bananas (they’re usually too green), I have to let them sit and ripen. And then they’re all ripe at the same time and I need to eat 12 bananas or they go bad.

This is a great round up! I used to throw out old banana and now I save them for smoothies and such, but baked good sound way better! Thanks for the link love to!
I’ll take a slice of each please! 🙂
OMG so my friends and I had a banana party last night, Â joke–i didn’t see your post in time for it, sadly, but literally hundreds of beautifully overripe bananas died for our epic party, which included banana split pudding, banana bread, banana beer, and banoffee sticky pudding donuts. Talk about a party and a banana round-up with a heavy a-peel!! Hehe! Â
I am so doing that! I love that idea and I wish I was at yours! 🙂
You know me too well, I always buy a bunch of bananas with the intention of making lots of healthy smoothies and then at least 1 or 2 of them end up sitting on the counter till they’re black and rotting – why I don’t freeze them before they get to that point is beyond me, but now I’ll be more motivated to save them so I can make some of these. I mean, who doesn’t love banana bread, but banana cream pie, all those cakes, cupcakes, and ice cream. I want them all!
I am the SAME way!! I think “I’ll make bread, no need to freeze them” and then I find them 4 days later at the bottom of the pile…squished.
The peanut butter banana bread with frosting looks yummy! Now if only I can manage to get ripe bananas. We eat them too fast!! Even when I buy more.
Buy avocados at the same time. I always try to keep them separate but the rest of my family forgets and then I get overripe avocados and bananas!
I buy bananas by the truckload, so many great things to make with them! Â And now I have a whole lot more ideas to try out! Â Thanks so much for including my muffins in this list!
I keep seeing banana recipes on Pinterest lately, and now this! I think it’s high time I start baking with more bananas! 🙂
I always have frozen bananas in my freezer. It’s a staple! I mostly use them for banana bread and smoothies. Now I have a lot more options, thanks to you! 🙂
Always love having extra ideas for using up those overripe bananas…it’s great to mix it up and try something new!
