3-Ingredient Caramel Apple Dip Recipe
I used to buy those store-bought apples and caramel dip packs but, dang, they’re expensive! Not to mention that they’re made with a lot more ingredients than this homemade version I’m sharing. It’s so easy and you can use reusable snack containers to store it as a grab-and-go snack.
Are you ready for this? It’s SO GOOD!
- Caramel squares
- Heavy whipping cream
- Creamy peanut butter
These three ingredients combined together make the best caramel dip. It has a perfect dippable texture.
How to Make Caramel Apple Dip with Peanut Butter
Place the caramels, cream and peanut butter in a medium saucepan. Heat them over low heat and stir until the caramels melt and the mixture is smooth. This usually takes less than 10 minutes.
You can serve the dip warm with sliced apples or cool it and store it in the refrigerator in an airtight container.
Serve it with All Kinds of Dippers!
Sliced apples are the obvious choice because they pair perfectly with the caramel. Just like a caramel apple but so much easier to eat!
Use whichever apple you like the best, but I tend to use Granny Smith apples because their tart flavor pairs perfectly with the caramel.
But don’t stop there! Serve it with other fruit like strawberries, sliced bananas, pears or other fruit that you like.
It’s also great with pretzels and cookies like vanilla wafers, gingersnaps, and graham crackers.
For a fun dessert put together a platter with the caramel apple dip and a mix of dippers to go with it and let everyone choose their own!
How Long Does Caramel Apple Dip Last?
Not long at our house! But it will keep well for up to a week in the refrigerator unless you’re like us and eat it all in the first day.
This apple dip recipe makes approximately two cups, which I like to divide into smaller servings in containers. It makes it really easy to just grab one as a snack!
So, go get some apples and make yourself this super simple caramel apple dip! You won’t go back to the store-bought stuff after you try this. Is so easy to make!

I’ve made this twice with great success! Canning it for Christmas Gifts this year as well. Thanks for sharing! I’ve decided this is a ‘healthy alternative to some of the sweets I make as I always use apples to dip with. Hence the healthy part.?
Glad you like it!!
Love this! I want to make it but don’t normally buy heavy whipping cream.. Would I be able to make it with almond milk? Maybe if I add less?
Yes, add less to start. It will thicken as it cools but you don’t want it too watery and the less fat in the almond milk can cause it to be runny if you use too much. But it will work!
How the heck do you send this to school when there is a peanut allergy and nothing with peanuts can go to school????
We don’t have a peanut ban at our school.
This looks outrageously YUMMY!
This looks killer good! I can’t wait to have it with apples. Yum!!
Do you think it would work if I made this like a caramel apple?

We made this dip but used fabulous COOKIE BUTTER (the CRUNCHY one–who knew there was a crunchy one!!!??) in place of peanuts butter. OMG – heavenly. My 3 kids and I cannot get enough cookie butter! LOL
Sounds great, but do you have the stats for the recipe? You know, calories, fat calorie, sat fat, sodium, sugar and carbs?
I’m sorry, I don’t. But you can do so here: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/recipe/calculator 🙂
Looks delicious! I love apple dip. I’ve never made it with peanut butter before but it sounds great. Thanks for sharing on Sweet Indulgences Sunday.
