Chocolate Cinnamon Roll Pull Apart Bread – Sometimes you just need an easy breakfast recipe that is going to please everyone and be a showstopper. This Chocolate Cinnamon Roll Pull Apart Bread is that recipe!

{Pssst…there are only 2 ingredients! And one of them is chocolate!}

Chocolate Cinnamon Roll Pull Apart Bread with only 2 ingredients! An easy breakfast recipe on the table in under 30 minutes.

Jordan is totally in a breakfast rut. Cereal, every day. Sometimes she asks, “Have you made anything??” with hopeful eyes and when I say no I can see her dashed hopes and she just says “Alriiiiight. I guess I’ll have Cheerios. Again.”

And then I feel like a horrible mother and I pick up a can of Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls and some chocolate spread and make her the most fabulous breakfast ever.

Am I the only on that does that? No? Good.

Super Easy Chocolate Cinnamon Roll Pull Apart Bread

You guys, this Chocolate Cinnamon Roll Pull Apart Bread is the easiest ever to make. While I love homemade bread, sometimes convenience is where it’s at. (Who am I kidding? It’s ALWAYS where it’s at. #truth)

I’m willing to bet that if you give your kid/husband this Chocolate Cinnamon Roll Pull Apart Bread recipe, they can make it for you for Mother’s Day. And you won’t hear any swear words, breaking crashing glass, or “Mooooooom!! How do I ….” coming from the kitchen.

You’re welcome.

Chocolate Cinnamon Roll Pull Apart Bread

Besides my inability to make breakfast food at breakfast time (hello, not a morning person), I have another really embarrassing thing to admit. Ready for a good laugh?

Until recently I did not know that k-cups weren’t recyclable. *hangs head in shame*

In my defense, we don’t have to recycle in my city. We throw everything in huge garbage cans and they recycle for us. And then I realized that all those k-cups are just trash floating out in the sea forming trash island. And I kind of felt dirty for using my machine after that. Knowing all those k-cups were trash made me aware of every cup of coffee I made. Which is why I was so excited that, shortly after my lightbulb moment, Hamilton Beach emailed me about reviewing their newest coffee maker, the 2-Way FlexBrew Coffeemaker. It brews a pot of coffee AND can brew a single cup…from grounds OR a k-cup.

Pretty much it does everything but drink your coffee for you.

I’ve been using this coffee maker for about 2 weeks full-time and my other k-cup only machine is now in the garage for a rainy day. I’m back to saving the planet and using coffee grounds, which makes me feel good. Also, the two complaints I always had when using k-cups were that the coffee wasn’t strong enough (I like it STRONG) and that I prefer to drink bowls of coffee. That can happen with this machine wether I make the pot or brew a single cup.

And, before you mention that fill-your-own k-cup thing you can buy, this machine is not that. That thing made horrible coffee. This one comes with a mini gold re-usable filter perfect for a single cup. And it’s drinkable!

I’m not one for talking about products I don’t love, so know that my sharing this coffee maker – even as a review – carries some weight. I really do love it! You can find it online and in Walmart, if you’re interested.

Back To This Delicious Chocolate Cinnamon Roll Pull Apart Bread

Now, back to the Chocolate Cinnamon Roll Pull Apart Bread. OMG.

This really is the easiest Chocolate Cinnamon Roll Pull Apart Bread recipe you’ll ever make. Well, maybe aside from this one. Nope, this one is easier.

Step one: slice cinnamon rolls lengthwise into three pieces. It’s a messy step, but your hands get covered in cinnamon paste. I mean, you could wash them…or lick them clean.

Step two: spread some sort of chocolate spread all over each slice and sandwich them all together. Bake. Eat. Repeat.

I used a chocolate peanut butter spread for my chocolate centers. You could also use Nutella or the Hershey equivalent, or Biscoff/Cookie Butter, or Peanut Butter. OR ALL OF THEM.

I’m doing the latter. Since I’ll be making this a trilionty more times. Jordan will be happy.

And by the time this is in the oven my coffee pot will be full. #winning

Total Time 40 minutes
Yield 8 servings
Serving Size 1 slice

  • 1 can Pillsbury Grands! Cinnamon Rolls not flakey
  • Chocolate spread such as Nutella, Chocolate Peanut Butter, or any similar product

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray a 9x5 loaf pan with cooking spray (for best removal results use the spray with flour in it).
  • Unroll the tube of Cinnamon Rolls carefully. If they split, just press them back together. Separate the rolls. Slice each into three thin slices, lengthwise (like you'd cut a sandwich roll). This is a messy step!
  • Sandwich the slices together with chocolate spread, forming a loaf. Do not spread any chocolate on the outside of the two ends. Place the loaf in the pan. Bake for 24-28 minutes until golden brown. Place the frosting cup that comes with the rolls on the stove while the loaf is baking to melt it, then pour it over the warm bread. Serve warm.

  1. Booo to mornings. Too bad it’s the only time I get to work on my blog these days…three cheers for coffee!! And easy cinnamon pull apart bread!!!!! Pinned!

  2. Oh. My. Gosh. This looks absolutely amazing! This is just my kind of breakfast- store bought ingredients spiced up in a new and fun way. Yummy!

  3. You are a GENIUS!! My boys would jump for joy if I made this for them! They, also, are in a cereal rut. They love when I make something for them. Love this, Dorothy, pinned!

  4. HA! That is hilarious. I think Jordin is just spoiled with so many amazing treats all the time, that Cherries just seem boring. Weekends are for pancakes. Weekday are for cereal. My children are destined to be board with breakfast.

  5. Convenience is definitely where it’s at! and love the idea to have my kids make this for ME for Mother’s day!! 🙂

  6. Ohhhh Dorothy, you’ve done it again. You’ve gone and made my hips wider. This far too easy and accessible (since I have all the ingredients on hand) breakfast is likely going to be on the table tomorrow when my hubby wakes up. What’s another hour on the treadmill. 🙂

As for the K-cups, I prefer to buy my favorite bagged coffee, and use my reusable k-cup! Way cheaper, and earth-friendly, although that coffeemaker looks pretty boss.

    1. Give me your k-cup secrets! I could NOT make good coffee in that reusable cup! No matter what I did it was weak. Maybe I needed to pack it in there. 🙂

  7. Who could say no to making pull apart bread in half the time and without the mess! This looks SO good, I bet’s it’s so perfect with a cup of coffee. 🙂

  8. Ok that coffee maker is actually super cool

and you’re the best mom ever-clearly! This is insanely delicious
