A Shirley Temple is amazing but you know what’s even better? An interactive Bloody Shirley Drink for Halloween! These are great for Halloween parties: just serve vials of grenadine blood alongside soda and you have the perfect gory party drink!

I’ve made many a Shirley Temple in my time (it’s Jordan’s favorite drink, she even orders Dirty Shirleys occasionally) so when I was thinking up Halloween drinks this one popped into my mind: a Shirley Temple but make it gory and spooky!
This is a 2 ingredient drink that’s totally interactive: just fill plastic syringes with grenadine and serve with soda. So simple and everyone will think they’re super fun.

Bloody Shirley Temple Ingredients
- Depending on who’s making this delicious drink, it either starts with lemon lime soda or ginger ale. Use your favorite (or have both options).
- Grenadine is cherry flavored syrup that’s bright red and gives the drink it’s telltale color.
- Jordan wouldn’t be happy without a maraschino cherry in her drink, so have some on hand, just in case.
- Want to make these dirty? Have vodka, tequila, or rum alongside in case the adults want to spice things up.

Dorothy’s Drink Tips
- I purchased my plastic syringes on Amazon, but I’ve recently seen them at the Dollar Tree, so look around the Halloween aisles.
- Freeze grenadine ice cubes for even more gore to keep the drinks cold.
- This is the perfect drink to set up on a bar: vials of grenadine, 2L bottles of soda, ice, and glasses (and vodka!)
