It’s Friday again. Weird how that happens.

Did you have a good week? Ours was busy, preparing for next week.

Next week is going to be one of those weeks. You know the ones you have to mentally prepare yourself for? The ones where the promise of time moving fast and the reward of a weekend and a glass of wine get you through?

One reason for the craziness next week? It’s teacher appreciation week. And that kicks off the “here’s what I did this week” segment of the program.

1. Need teacher appreciation ideas?

I got you covered.

2. Need a new treat you can eat with a spoon?

Look no further. Seriously.

3. Need something you can serve for Cinco de Mayo?

It doubles as something you can also freak your family out with. In a good way. It’s a win-win.

4. Mel emailed me this photo the other day. He saw it on Facebook. I found it on pinterest but I have no idea where it originally came from.  If you love dogs, grab a hankie.

5. Now something to make you laugh. Kristin reminded me of this blog post and how much I want a huge chicken.

6. I love how us bloggers get sourcing. We understand that, if someone thinks of a super great idea and we use it, that we need to give credit. It’s cool. {Also, it’s moral, but that’s another story.} It just kind of sucks that in real life, people don’t feel the same way. They have no problem taking your ideas and running with them, never outing you as the source, so you get to listen to how fabulous the person is “who came up with the great ideas.” {Also, I’m to weak to speak up for myself.}

7. I have a totally cool weekend planned. Sorry, but I have to brag a little. Mel is golfing in a charity golf event for Special Haven, a non-profit organization which will be a multi-sensory environment for children and adults with Special Needs. (One of Mel’s good friends is very involved with the organization.) There is also a banquet after all the golf. So, since it’s a few hours from home, we get to stay in a hotel. Which means that Jordan is going to her grandparents’ house and we get a weekend alone. *Happy Dance* Oh, and do something for a good cause too. 🙂

I hope you all have a good weekend! See ya’ on the other side.

xo,

  1. Hello! This is kind of off topic but I need some help from an established blog.
    Is it hard to set up your own blog? I’m not very techincal but I can figure things out pretty fast. I’m thinking about creating my own but I’m not sure where to begin. Do you have any tips or suggestions? Thank you

    1. It’s not hard at all! You just need an idea, some good stories, and a computer. 🙂 Feel free to email me with any questions you have, and I can help where I can!
