With all the talk of brownie batter lately, I thought I should share these babies from last year. One of my favorite flavors!
8. Last week I ran 2.5 miles twice, did three days of p90x (kickboxing, chest/back, and legs/back). Then I decided to go rock climbing and then I ran again the next day. And then I wanted to die.

10. People who use WordPress - I need your advice! My eventual goal is to move to self-hosting. Because of money, I’m figuring I will get Thesis or Genesis and build the site myself and then pay someone to integrate all my content and followers. Here are my questions for you: what child theme do you use? Do you use Genesis or Thesis? How hard was it to build your site (headers, colors, social media, etc.)? And were you able to take your GFC followers with you? Who did you use for your migration, if you used help? Any advice is greatly appreciated!
Well, that’s it for today. Ha!
I hope you all have a fabulous weekend. Mine is going to involve a watermelon lemonade cocktail I will be creating on the fly. If it’s good I’ll share it.
Toodles!
xo,
Dorothy

Hi there! I’m Dorothy, the crazy gal behind the blog. If you didn’t already know, I’m crazy for crust…and cookies…and brownies…and pretty much
anything with sugar.

Fun stuff, Dorothy! And sneaky Google … Picnik with a new name, sigh. I also want to move to WP eventually, so hopefully you’ll get some good feedback … share if you do, k?
Totally Keri!!! It’s so daunting!
I’m on the fence with it too. But would hate to lose the ten friends I have
Brownie batter in my crispy treats? Sounds like a huge step up from chocolate chips! Headed over to snatch up the recipe now… thanks for the flashback!
man what a week you had, I did nothing, I worked and worked and that is it, feels so empty when that is all you seem to get done. But I have a few days off with the kid next week so that is great. And he starts his braces next month too, so worried he has been upset for over a year while we were waiting for him to be ready for them. Sigh, I need to win the lottery so I can just make yummy stuff all day, and maybe even get a work out in here or there, no way would I work out every day, you inspire me, but not enough to make me actually do anything, other than try a recipe or two.
Sue you make me laugh! Good luck with your son’s braces. Jordan keeps giving me the evil eye and I go all “adult” on her: “you’ll thank me when you’re older!”
lots of info in this wrap up! and good for you on all the working out (its so you can have all the more sweets right? that’s what i’m trying to work at
love the yearly pics too, i should have done something like that, had pinterst been around i’d have a ton of ideas for yearly pics!
Dorothy,
Congratulations on your rock climbing and fitness goals this week!
Neat idea to take a photo of Jordan in the rocking chair. Next thing you know she will be kneeling or standing beside the chair.
I have seen recipes for the watermelon lemonade cocktail, but have not made or tasted one. Hope it turns out delicious!
Have a great weekend.
Thanks Robyn! I love seeing how she’s grown each year.
Yay, thanks for my snickerdoodle ice cream feature! All those ice cream treats look fantabulous and I want them all right now. As well as that watermelon cocktail concoction you’re currently polling on FB. Needless to say, I’m STOKED for tomorrow! And look how cute Jordan is, all grown up! She was such a smiley baby and now she’s a smiley girl who draws adorable pictures and dances like a future Disney star.
PS, you’re awesome for working out so much. I admire you!
Wow, all sorts of great goodies on this post! I bet the golden Oreo crust is soooo good! The photo idea in the same rocker is such a fabulous idea~Love it!
Congrats on your goals! I have to admit, I’m pretty excited to make your carrot cake cinnamon rolls. I’m putting it off a little bit because I have a feeling I’ll be inhaling them all
I’m self hosted and use wordpress. I use a different theme though that I modded because I like my blog a bit more plain.
Thanks Shannon, I hope you enjoy the cinnamon rolls.
ditto @Keri – would LOVE any info you receive:)
SO not ready for school – 3 weeks ugh
have a great weekend
Thanks Heather! Will do.
{2010 was a bad year. That look on her face? She wore it the entire frickin’ year.} <— I assume this wasn’t supposed to be funny, but as a fellow mom, it cracked me up!
Oh, it’s funny to me to. Now. LOL!
Thought you’d like to know that Ribbet isn’t run by Google. They’re an independent company: http://www.ribbet.com/about.rbt and it says on the bottom of their pages “Ribbet.com is not sponsored by or affiliated with Google Inc.”
Thanks for the update! It just looked eerily like Picnik!
“2010″ haha. Hopefully you got a few good pictures that year.
National Ice Cream Month? I’ve only got a couple of days left to make it count…Thanks for the link love!
Oh, and your #10 looked like absolute gibberish to me. There’s a reason I make no money off of my blog..
Eeek! I’m so impressed that you went rock climbing. You rock, haha! =) And thanks for the ice cream feature! Seeing all of those great recipes compiled in one spot makes me want to make and taste-test each one! YUM!
Thanks Ashley!
2010 may have been a rough year for her but every year she sure was cute! Love those photos! I’m so proud of you for rock climbing – looks like you were really good at it too! Yay for ice cream, working out, brownie batter, and cocktails! TGIF!
The weeks are totally flying by but only 3.5 weeks until the kiddos go back? How long do they get off for summer before they return there for the next year up? Over here it’s an overwhelming 6 weeks. 6 whole weeks of insanity, LOL! We haven’t done anything neither. Hopefully a few thing before they return back- seaside for the day (if it’s warm), zoo, theme park.
Great recap on the week. What are those oreos that are light in colour? We don’t get them over here yet, just the regular Oreos. I’m intrigued.
As for WordPress, I answered that in email but I know 100% for a fact that there is absolutely no way to move your GFC readers over. Google put a stop to having the GFC widget on any blogs other than Google powered blogs (I remember my WordPress friends complaining about it). As for other migration, you really don’t need to pay anyone to move your stuff over. It’s really easy and if you’re making the move, just ask me. I’d love to help you.
I love the yearly photo idea
And haven’t forgotten about those carrot cinnamon rolls. Yum!
Love your rocking chair photos!!
Was going through the site after sharing and I want to say Thanks for sharing my Ice Cream.
Also, I love the pictures of Jordan in the rocking chair… wonder how she’ll look in it at 16… As if she would agree to something so ridiculous at that age.
All that mumbo jumbo stuff at the end completely stumped me. Wan’t even sure if you were speaking bloggy… looked way too tech-y for me
Just got to my reader, and read this
1. Thanks for the link love
2. Please share all of your WP info that you glean from other people. I HAVE NO FRICKIN’ CLUE WHAT I’M DOING IN WP!!!!
3.I’m excited to hear about Ribbet!
