½ cup (113g) unsalted butter, softened ½ cup (100g) packed brown sugar ¼ cup (50g) granulated sugar ½ teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 2 tablespoons milk 1 cup (124g) all-purpose flour 1 cup (170g) chocolate chips ½ cup chopped nuts optional
Cream butter and both sugars on low speed until light and fluffy, 1-2 minutes. Mix in salt, vanilla extract, and milk and beat until smooth.
Add flour and mix until smooth then stir in chocolate chips and nuts, if using.
Serve in individual bowls or in one bowl as a dip.
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
