Happy Friday! I hope you’ve all had a great week.

1. I have this pipe dream, and I’d like to share it with you. I’ve made so many friendships while blogging. I feel like I actually know y’all. What’s so weird is that so many of you are such good friends…but we’ve never met. Wouldn’t it be totally cool to remedy that? I always hear about the “big” bloggers going to cool events or conferences and hanging out together, and I’ll admit, I get jealous, because they actually have met their bloggy friends. So, here’s my dream: some day we all plan a trip (not a conference, just a fun weekend) together. Somewhere in the middle of the country, since we’re spread all over. Denver? St. Louis? Chicago? Utah? I have no idea where. But would that be beyond awesome? I know it’s a dream…but hey, sometimes dreams come true. (Summer 2013, anyone?)

2. Okay, so this week I made you sugar. {No surprise there!}

I made you more stuff in a jar, because jars are way cuter than regular plates.

And I made you more ice cream. With crust. Because that’s how I roll.

I also made one last treat for the Fourth of July. Because I couldn’t help myself. In fact, here’s a round-up of all the patriotic treats I made this year:

Red, White, and Blue Cupcake Tops, Crumb Apple Pie, Red Velvet Cheesecake Cupcakes, and Patriotic Nutella Cookie Dough Dipped Pretzels.

3. For this weeks’ Flashback Friday, I bring you my past patriotic treats:

Red, White, and Blue Cake Pops, Patriotic Cupcake Bites, and Spiral Cookies for the Fourth.

4. Blogland has been bathed in Red, White, and Blue lately. I love seeing it all, something about the colors makes me happy. Freedom and all that, I guess. (The fact that we, as bloggers, have the freedom to, well, blog?)

Here are some of my favs from the past month or so…

I love all these ideas!!

5. I have a tip for you: do not walk in the dark, with your hands full, in heels. Let’s just say I had forgotten how much it hurts to have a skinned knee, let alone two skinned knees, two skinned ankles, and it also doesn’t feel great when nail polish is removed with concrete. On a brighter note: I did not drop my phone.

6. Did anyone watch the season finale of RHOC on Tuesday? Wow. Okay, the girls might have overreacted about the bow, but that Sara chick, is she for real? I mean is she even a cast member? She has a blog on the Bravo site but was never really a full part of the show. And Brooks. He skeeves me out, am I the only one? And come on Bravo! Making us wait until the 10th to start the reunion shows??? Please.

7. Yes, I do watch shows besides those on Bravo. Totally. I watch The View. And The Soup. And Drop Dead Diva. But it is summer; Bravo is the only sustainable television right now. What are you watching? My hubs and I need some “together” shows, because, can you believe the RH of anywhere would not be his first choice?

8. Ann Curry. I feel bad for her, don’t you? I don’t watch Today as much as I used to, Jordan being 7 and all, makes it kind of hard to watch news about fires, wars, and generally bad people doing very bad things. I “read” Ann’s good-bye speech yesterday on closed captioning at the gym. I think she got a few digs to the network into her farewell. All the great work she did over 15 years…and they sack her because she’s not Meredith.

9. I finished the Crank trilogy. You all NEED to read it. I just started Divergent. So far, it’s good. Reminds me a little of Matched. What are you reading?

Have a wonderful weekend everyone! Do something fun and crazy. 🙂

Kisses!

  1. Thanks for including my Partiotic Cookie Dippers in your AWESOME round up! Have a GREAT week!—Sheryl @ Lady Behind The Curtain—

  2. I feel the same way, it would totallybe fantastic to meet up with all my blogging buddies. Definitely something of a pipe dream though since I’m over that big pond! The Baileys pudding pies look amazing and love all these patriotic treats! In fact, the cupcake tops reminds me, I found a whoopie pie tin here.. yey! I totally wasn’t expecting to find one here and I found it in a discount store too. Serendipity! It’s even got a 5 year guarantee.

You made me giggle about walking in the dark. I do the same thing and end up looking like a child with my bruises, cuts and scrapes! From #6-9, I have no clue what you’re talking about haha since it’s not aired here.
