Perfect Tropical Martini

When I went to Hawaii, there were so many drinks to try and this pineapple martini was one of my favorites. So much so, that I knew I needed to recreate it so I could have it whenever I wanted! This cocktail recipe combines pineapple and lime juice to mix the perfect amount of sweetness and sour!

The best part about this recipe is that you can make it in a single glass for yourself or a pitcher! Whether you’re having a party or wanting to be transported to a tropical vacation, this martini is perfect for you!

Ingredients Needed

  • Vodka: I used Titos, but use your favorite vodka that you have on hand.
  • Triple Sec: Orange liqueur mixes perfectly with the other ingredients!
  • Lime Juice: Fresh lime juice is always best.
  • Pineapple Juice: Use fresh pineapple juice or 100% juice (without additives)
  • Garnish: Put cherries, a pineapple wedge on the rim of the glass, limes.

Variations

  • You could add a splash of coconut rum for a more tropical feel.
  • If you prefer sweeter drinks, add a splash of grenadine or simple syrup
  • Vanilla vodka is a great flavor substitute

How to make Pineapple Drink

  • To make one cocktail: pour liquor and juice into a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake then strain into a cold martini glass. Garnish with pineapple or slice of lime.
  • To make a pitcher: stir liquor and juice in a pitcher. Shake with ice before pouring each drink. Garnish with pineapple and a maraschino cherry.

Expert Tips

  • A pitcher will serve 6-8 people, so make a double/triple recipe depending on how many people you know you’ll be serving! Here’s how to double a recipe!
  • You could replace the vodka with gin if that is what you have, but I love a good vodka martini.

  1. This was absolutely delicious! My husband doesn’t like super sweet and it wasn’t too sweet. Just the right mix! Not too sweet, but if you like sweeter you can make it that way. Will be making this again! Thank you for the recipe!

  2. Ok… so…. Yes yes and yes! Very easy to put together, definitely have a semi-stocked bar so I had everything already! So pretty and Hawaiian looking, lol! At first taste I didn’t think it was a very strong drink, but then as it sunk in… it’s one of those that’ll catch you off guard really easy! Lol. I couldn’t find what the little red part was at the bottom so I put my cherry and about a 1/2 tsp cherry juice and it was perfecto!! Would have loved to post a picture of mine but I didn’t see where to do that.

  3. We made this! It was SUPER sweet but very yummy! You definitely need to like sweet drinks to fully appreciate it. Our changes:

    – Decreased Pineapple Juice to 12 ounces.
    – Used:
    – Malibu Caribbean Rum with Coconut Liqueur
    – Gummy Bear-Infused Titos Handmade Vodka
    – Dekuyper Triple Sec

  4. I also want to visit Hawaii now, it’s so hot outside. Thank you for sharing the recipe! Gotta try it very soon!

  5. I think you should have a mandatory every-six-months-go-to-Hawaii trip planned. I know it’s your total happy place and therefore it’s totally worth it!

Great sounding martini that would go down easily!
