Did you know they made Cookies ‘n Cream Hershey’s Kisses? I had no idea!

As soon as I bought them I knew right where they were going: into Cookies ‘n Cream Brownie Bites!

It’s kind of unbelievable, but there are a lot of food bloggers here in Sacramento. Hayley is my neighbor (seriously, she’s only a few blocks away). Heather and Glory live pretty close to each other across town. Trish and Amy are also neighbors just a short drive away from me, and Amy isn’t too far either.

You know what’s kind of annoying? That we usually have to travel to see each other. I figured it was time to change that, so last weekend I hosted (what is I hope) our First Rotating Sacramento Food Blogger Family Gathering. It was awesome.

The seven of us, some of our husbands, and all our kids. Almost all of our kids are the same ages and they all got along fabulously. There were legos all over my living room floor – twice.

{In fact, I’m still finding them. Sometimes at night. Barefoot.}

The funniest moments for me were when Amy told me my husband was talking with hers about my day and it mirrored hers. Then, later that night, I started complaining after I checked my stats on my phone and my husband laughed because the men were talking about how “at least twice a week they get on analytics and start boo-hooing about how their stats suck.”

There was happy screaming and lots of talking and smiles and eating. Oh, the eating. We food bloggers sure can cook…and eat. There was almost nothing left!

There were certainly none of these Cookies ‘n Cream Brownie Bites left. I went over to the plate hoping for one (or two) after everyone left and it was bare.

That’s okay, I just need to make these again. And again!

So okay. I know I have a brownie bite addiction. Especially with Kisses. But these? Hands down, my favorite.

They start with a Mini Oreo. You pop one into each cavity in your mini muffin pan. Then you add a tablespoon of brownie batter. I used my one bowl brownie recipe for these bites. You can also use a box mix meant for a 9×9 pan. If you use a traditional 9×13 box mix, you’ll just need more Oreos, Kisses, and mini muffin pans.

When they come out of the oven, you just let them sit for about a minute. Then press your Cookies ‘n Cream Hershey’s Kisses on top, like you would on a blossom cookie. Now for the hardest part: don’t touch them. Don’t move the pans. Many of the nontraditional Hershey’s Kisses flavors are not as stable as regular chocolate and they’re prone to collapsing when melty. These seemed a little sturdier than the peppermint ones or the pumpkin ones but you still need to be careful.

Once they’ve cooled, gently remove them from the pans and eat. And eat and eat and eat. They’re so addicting!

Now, if you can’t find the Cookies ‘n Cream Kisses (I found mine at Walmart and Target) you can use any flavor you want. Caramel, Hugs, plain, almond…whatever. Even a peanut butter cup! I’ve also seen cookies ‘n cream egg shaped candies in the Easter aisle. Use whatever you like!

I know I say “These are my favorite!!!!” a lot. But it’s true: these are.

They’re perfect for a party.

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray mini cupcake pans with cooking spray (I like the kind with flour) or use mini cupcake liners. Place one Mini Oreo in each cavity.
  • Stir together melted butter, sugar, and cocoa. Stir in eggs, vanilla extract, coffee or water, and salt. Carefully stir in flour. (The coffee just adds a richness to the brownies, but you can use water if you prefer.)
  • Place about 1 tablespoon of batter in each cupcake cavity or liner, on top of the Oreo. Bake for 9-12 minutes, until the tops lose that shiny, wet look.
  • Let them cool for just a minute, then place one Kiss in the center of each brownie bite. Do not move or jiggle your pans or try to remove the bites before the
  • Kiss has completely re-hardened or it will collapse. Cool completely, gently remove from the pan (a knife can help loosen if needed).
  • Store in an airtight container at room temperature. They can be frozen for up to 3 months.

  1. Hi! I wanted to bake these the second I laid eyes on them! They look so cute and yummy! So finally I did try to bake them today. I waited for one minute for the brownies to cool just like you said. But the second I placed the Kiss on top, it started melting to my horror! I wonder what I did wrong. 🙁

    1. Did they melt and collapse immediately without the pan being moved? Usually the Hershey’s Kisses are strong enough to melt but stay in their shape. The white/flavored kisses are definitely less stable than the regular chocolate ones, which is why I make sure to put them on top of the cookie or bite and not move the pan at all (like, don’t touch it) until they’ve rehardened hours later. But they usually do keep their shape, except for maybe 1 or two. The only thing I can think of is either you got a weaker batch of kisses for some reason or that, if your pans were on the stovetop (remove from oven, place on stove to cool, that’s what I do) maybe the heat from the oven being on caused them to melt. I’m sorry that happened! They’ll still taste good. 🙂

  2. The Cookie ‘n Cream brownie bites were so good! I made them last week. I couldn’t find the cookies n’ cream kisses but I used the cookies ‘n cream Dips, the ones that look like big M ‘n M’s. They were the perfect size and I have been asked to make them again. 🙂

  3. OMG, the bites are super cute! Actually everything looks amazing. Can’t wait to try the brownie bites.
