Nikon D3100 and 35mm Lens Giveaway!

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Are you feeling LUCKY? Good, because I’m sending some luck your way today! A bunch of bloggers and I have gotten together to give away a Nikon D3100 AND a 35mm lens to go with it!

Lucky Day Giveaway

I have this camera, and that lens. They are both amazing! I got my Nikon back in October and have not looked back at all. I got the 35mm lens for Christmas and, well. I am LOVING it and I know you will too!

Here’s what you can win:

One (1) winner will receive a Nikon D3100 SLR Camera (body only) and a 35mm f/1.8 lens to shoot with. Here are the specs:

Nikon D3100 SLR Camera {Body Only}

  • 14.2 megapixel DX-format CMOS image sensor
  • Active D-Lighting
  • 3.0 inch Color LCD Monitor
  • Picture Control System expands creativity
  • Nikon Integrated Dust Reduction System
  • Full HD 1080p movies with sound and full-time autofocus
  • ISO range of 100 to 3200 (expandable to 12800-Hi2)
  • 6 Automatic Exposure Scene Modes- Portrait, Landscape, Child, Sports, Close-up or Night Portrait

Nikon 35mm f/1.8G AF-S DX Lens for Nikon Digital SLR Cameras

  • Fast, f/1.8 prime lens is perfect for low-light conditions, travel, environmental portrait and general photography
  • Engineered for Nikon DX-format D-SLRS, the AF-S DX Nikkor 35mm f/1.8G lens renders a picture angle approximating the classic normal angle of view of a 50mm lens on a Nikon FXformat digital SLR or 35mm film camera
  • Aspherical lens element minimizes coma and other types of lens aberrations, further improving image integrity
  • Nikon Super Integrated Coating (SIC) enhances light transmission efficiency and offers color consistency and reduced flare
  • Exclusive Nikon Silent Wave Motor (SWM) enables fast, accurate and quiet autofocus
  • Close focusing to 1 foot for creative perspectives and versatility
  • Rounded 7-blade diaphragm opening makes out-of-focus elements appear more natural
  • Accepts 52mm filter attachments

Pretty sweet, huh?

Seriously, I put this lens on my camera on December 25th and I have not taken it off. Bright light, dark light, it performs amazingly, and I know you’ll love it!

So…are you feeling lucky? Enter to win, and find out!

a Rafflecopter giveaway

Open to U.S. residents only. Please see full terms and conditions listed in the rafflecopter widget. Contest runs through March 31, 2013. Good luck!

I would LOVE to win this camera! I’m using my manual Nikon FM from about 1978. While this camera is great (and doubles as a weapon when traveling), it is time for me to enter this century! Not many places to develop film any more. : ) It would also get my blog/website out of its slow start rut. -Liz

Incredible give away! I would photograph items for my tiny little Etsy store (sequestration is coming up starting next week so looking for every possibly extra avenue) and maybe start a food blog to chronicle our diet journey for better half’s health. I think, being St. Patrick’s Day though, that Chocolate Mint Poke Cake would appear this morning though. :) Thanks for sharing!

F1.8! I take shots of stuff I see every day on the way to work. Driving through the country we have barns, horses, fields of cotton, tobacco and sunflowers, deer in twilight and most of all I take photos of my six beautiful grandkids. (They are not on the side of the road on my way to work though!)

I am taking a digital photography class at our SUNY IT through a program that is called Mohawk Valley Learning in Retirement. It is open to all and they offer many courses each semester. One can take 4 core and unlimited “free” courses. I know at this point in my life that I have so much left to learn to do the best I can at the things I can do. Breathing is good at this stage in my life, but breathing while learning and applying the learning to everyday life is a gift. I have a habit of taking pictures of food, mine, others, and restaurants especially on vacation. I have passed this on to my daughter.. we’ve been chuckled at, laughed at and when we pose the food, well, patrons think we’re nuts. I love to take pictures of the beach each time we go to Longboat Key, the food there and just whatever catches my eye. I am now using myphone as my camera as the last camera bit the dust, literally. I think a grain of sand got into it and it is stuck. This would be great.
