Hey there friends. It’s Frrriiiiday. Woot!

Who had a good week? Hopefully…all of you.

Did you do a lot? I feel like life is never ending, am I the only one?

Here’s what I did this week:

1. My blog turned 2! And I’m giving away some of my favorite things. Oh, and I made pie. Of course.

I would like to say, all your sweet comments and FB posts and tweets are just making me a little emotional. I heart all of you too! Thank you for being not just loyal visitors, but friends too. 🙂

2. I hijacked Back for Seconds while she was out of town. I love that girl and I know you will too! I made her some Pecan Pie Poptarts. Go see!

3. Ashton and I revealed our first big Online BlogCon giveaway. A Kindle Fire HD 8.9″! All registered attendees of Online BlogCon are eligible to enter. What are you waiting for??

And, the posts are starting to come in for the conference. You guys are gonna be SO excited. They are awesome. PLUS we have some more great giveaways planned. I cannot wait to buy some new PJs to wear all day. 🙂
4. I got the caffeine jitters from drinking and eating coffee in one sitting.

5. I admitted to my shoe addiction and related shoes to things on sticks.

6. I turned 35.

7. Jordan has her first cheer game this weekend. It’s going to be so cute I’m sure I’m going to die from the cuteness.

8. Why yes, I have too much time on my hands. Red is Mel, purple is me, blue is what we watch together. By October our DVR will be full because football takes up 3 nights a week. (Thanks NFL. We reealllly needed that Thursday night game, right?)

9. Hey, have I told you about Online BlogCon? Just kidding. You’ve already registered…right?

10. If you have a DSLR, I’d love to hear about what kind it is, what I should get, and what lenses are the best. I’m starting to research them.

11. We finally, finally (after 8 months) hung our headboard in the new house. They are 12 separate photos I turned black and white and framed. All the photos are places that Mel and I have vacationed or that have special meaning for us.

12. It is still hot here: forecast 90 degrees for the foreseeable future. What the heck, Mother Nature? I want Fall and I want it now!

Okay, well. I could go on and on and on…but I’ll stop. 🙂

((Hugs)) to everyone, and have a great weekend!

xo, Dorothy

    1. It’s actually 12 frames that we hung reeeallly carefully. Well. I said we. I meant my husband did it. We started with a long board that we marked the top row on, then used that to drip the top holes. Then it was kind of eyeballing to get the bottoms on. There *may* be lots of holes underneath the frames from where we got it wrong the first time. 😉

  1. Dorothy,
Happy Birthday! You young thing you 🙂 I remember 35 (vaguely) lol It was a great year! Happy Blogaversary too! I’m coming up on one year and I can’t believe how fast the time goes.
    LOVE the headboard!
Jordan is such a cutie! She’s going to be an AWESOME cheerleader!
Yes, I’d like Fall weather too. I was so excited when it started cooling to the 80’s last week, then I see a few 90’s in the week coming up, YUK!
    Have a wonderful weekend 🙂
    Michelle

    1. Thank you! It’s funny, I see the weather on my phone and it just kinda deflates me. 90, 91, 93,….Sigh. 🙂

  2. Happy Birthday! I remember 35 – it was a good year:)
    GORGEOUS headboard
    GORGEOUS daughter
    GORGEOUS blog
Hope your weekend is fantastic – and YES PLEASE fall weather – maybe you can make it your bday wish

  3. Your daughter is such a cutie!! I have a Canon Rebel T3i. It’s supposed to be a good intro to DSLRs, and it came with the standard 18-55 lens. It works leagues better than my old Pentax point-and-shoot, even if you’re just on automatic before you learn manual. It also does HD video, which is nice because I don’t want to buy a whole ‘nother video camera. I’m very happy with it. Would like another lens one day, but boy are they pricey.
